WP3 – Deciphering cause-effect relations between gut microbiota and CC

Objectives: 1/ Develop and implement in vitro models to evaluate the effect of gut microbiota on gut barrier physiology and the immune system. • 2/ Investigate how specific microbial interventions (ghrelinergic microbial strains w/wo phenolic compounds; microbial species, metabolites, and consortia resulting from WP1-2) contribute to control CC in vivo. • 3/ Decipher how circadian clocks are affected upstream by gut microbiota and alter downstream fat expenditure, muscle wasting, lipid homeostasis, and ghrelinergic signalling in a CC mouse model.
